Welcome to the International Conference on Cancer in Geographically Isolated Populations

📅 November 27–29, 2025
📍 Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia – The Harbor Club

It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome you to the inaugural International Conference on Cancer in Geographically Isolated Populations. Set against the stunning backdrop of Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia, this conference promises to be as inspiring as it is essential.

Cancer remains a global health challenge, but the burden of the disease is often amplified in remote and geographically isolated populations. These communities frequently face limited access to care, diagnostic delays, fragmented health services, and unique environmental and genetic risk factors. While the global oncology community has made tremendous strides in treatment and research, disparities continue to grow for those in hard-to-reach areas.

This conference was created to address those disparities head-on.

From November 27 to 29, 2025, we will bring together an international network of researchers, healthcare providers, public health experts, and policymakers who share a common commitment: improving cancer outcomes for underserved and geographically isolated populations. Through a rich and varied program, participants will explore context-specific strategies for prevention, early detection, treatment, survivorship, and palliative care, all tailored to the realities of remote communities.

We aim to foster meaningful dialogue and long-term collaboration across disciplines and borders. Our sessions will highlight innovative models of care, community-led interventions, culturally adapted communication strategies, and research frameworks designed to meet local needs — with voices from the communities themselves at the forefront.

The choice of Saint Lucia as our host location is both symbolic and practical. As a Caribbean nation with its own set of geographic and systemic healthcare challenges, it provides a compelling real-world context for our discussions — and a stunning setting for connection, reflection, and action.

We invite you to be part of this important first step in building a global community dedicated to equitable cancer care. Whether you are a scientist, clinician, advocate, or decision-maker, your presence and insights will shape the path forward.
